Steps to join Lic as agent:

1). Registration:

 Candidate need to visit the branch for offline  Documentation and fee submission

Fee structure :

(Rs. 150/- registration charges) + (Rs. 502/- Exam Fees) + (Rs. 100/- Agent’s Kit)

Total : Rs. 752/-

Documents required:

1). 2 passport size photographs

2). Pan card

3). Address proof 

4). Qualification proofs: 10th class certificate is must

2). Training

Candidate has to undergo 25 hrs online or offline training.

Offline training will be more effective to clear the IRDA exam.

3). IRDA Exam (online Exam at given centre)

Candidate has to appear for online exam at given centre. The exam will consist of 50 objective type questions ( MCQ ). Out of 50 candidate has to secure 17 marks to pass the exam. There will be no negative marking.

4). Certification And Code Generation:

After passing the exam, the candidate can download the result from exam portal. Then, candidate has to fill a form and provide bank details (for commission) at branch office for code generation.

5). Product Training and Code Activation:

After code generation, Candidate will undergo product and skills development training.

For Code activation, Candidate will need to procure at least 2 policies within 15 days of code generation.
